Stampede's Milan Listed on NHL Central Scouting's NHL Draft Watch List

Sioux Falls, SD-Stampede forward Cody Milan (My-Lynn) has been listed as a "B" skater by NHL Central Scouting in their November Players to Watch list for the 2014 draft, the National Hockey League announced on Thursday.

Milan is one of 14 USHL players listed as a "B" player and one of 36 USHL skaters to be ranked overall. Including goaltenders an alumni, a total of 47 USHL players are listed. Any player with an "A" or "B" rating on the list are those Central Scouting considers to possess first, second-or-third-round potential. Any player with a "C" rating indicates a possible fourth, fifth-or-sixth-round candidate. Central Scouting will also release a mid-term ranking midway through the season and a final ranking just prior to the NHL Draft in June.

The White Lake, Mich. native is in his second season with the Stampede. He has one assist in 16 games with the Herd so far this season. Last year, he recorded 10 points (4g, 6a) in 34 games. He has already committed to play collegiate hockey at Michigan State University.

Milan and the Stampede return home this weekend for games Friday and Saturday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. Game times are 7:05 PM each night and tickets are still available through the Arena box office or any Ticketmaster location. Friday is "Student Night" where students of any age can show their school ID at the box office and get a ticket for just $6.
