Stampede Travel to Omaha & Lincoln this Weekend

The Stampede (4-1-0) head back on the road tonight and tomorrow night. Tonight, the Herd travel to Ralston Arena to face the Omaha Lancers at 7:05 PM. Omaha is 3-0-0 and have not allowed a goal yet this season. The Lancers topped the Herd, 4-0 last Friday night in Sioux Falls.

On Saturday, the Herd will travel to the Ice Box to face the Lincoln Stars who are 0-1-2 to start the season. Game time is 7:05 PM.

Pink in the Rink set for Oct. 25

Mark your calendar's for Friday, October 25th for "Pink in the Rink" presented by Midwest Family Care !

Stampede players will be wearing special white and pink jerseys during the game. Fans can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of the game worn jerseys. Winners will be drawn during the game and receive their jerseys from the Stampede players immediately following the game!

In addition, the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a limited edition Stampede pink coffee mug tumbler, compliments of Midwest Family Care. Doors open at 6:15 PM.

Halloween bash on Oct. 26

The Stampede will be celebrating Halloween a few days early on Saturday, October 26th when the Herd host Fargo at 7:05 PM.

Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume and enter our costume contest for a chance to win a special Stampede prize. Plus, kids 8 and under can register to participate one ice during the "Candy Dash." Don't miss the big Halloween Bash on October 26th.

Ahlgren's rights moved to Pentiction

The Sioux Falls Stampede announced that forward Jake Ahlgren left the team last week, and his "junior hockey playing rights" have been transferred to the Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League. Sioux Falls receives monetary compensation from Penticton.

Ahlgren spent all of last season with the Herd, totaling 8 points (3g, 5a) in 32 regular season games. Ahlgren had played in four of the Stampede's five exhibition games and two of their first three regular season games this season for the Stampede prior to his departure.

The Stampede want to wish Jake all the best in his future hockey endeavors.
