Stampede To Play Austin Toros In First Round Of D-League Playoffs

BOISE, Idaho, April 12, 2009 - The NBA Development League announced today the Idaho Stampede will travel to Austin, Texas to take on the Toros in the first round of the 2008-09 NBA D-League Playoffs.
The Stampede are 2-0 against the Toros this season after defeating the team 105-94 on December 5th in Texas and 97-94 on January 3rd in Boise.
These two teams are no stranger to post season action. Last season, Idaho defeated Austin two games to one in the finals to win the 2008 D-League Championship.
"Playoffs begin a whole new season," said Stampede Associate Head Coach Randy Livingston. "This will be a great rematch of last year's finals with two hard working teams. Look for an exciting game."
The 2009 NBA D-League post-season will begin on Tuesday, April 14. The Stampede are tentatively scheduled to take on take on the Toros on Wednesday, April 15 at 7:30 pm.
