
Stampede Surge Past D-Fenders

BOISE, Idaho, January 30, 2009 - Lance Allred led the Idaho Stampede to a 112-107 victory over the Los Angeles D-Fenders on Friday night in Boise.
Allred finished the night with 26 points and 11 rebounds, picking up his ninth double-double of the season.
"It was a good team win," Stampede Head Coach Bryan Gates said. "I'm really proud of Lance and what he did tonight. He is fun to watch when his confidence is high."
The Stampede had four other players score in double-figures - Luke Jackson, 23 points; Jamaal Tatum and Brent Petway, 16 points apiece; Roberto Bergersen, 11 points. Dwayne Jones added nine points and 13 rebounds, helping the Stampede gain a 42-29 advantage in rebounds.
The Stampede led, 58-44, at halftime, but the D-Fenders battled back in the final two quarters. The comeback was led by Joe Crawford, who scored 20 of his 29 points in the second half.
Los Angeles finished the game on a 17-4 run and managed to bring the game within four points with eight seconds remaining.
Dwayne Mitchell added 20 points for the D-Fenders, while Brandon Heath and Longar Longar recorded 15 and 14 points, respectively.
The two teams will face-off again tomorrow night in Boise. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 MST.
