Stampede Sign Livingston

Boise, ID (February 8, 2006) - The Idaho Stampede have announced the signing of 6-4 guard Randy Livingston. Livingston, who has played in two other seasons with the Stampede, is a two time CBA all-star and played along side Josh Davis with the Stampede during the 2003-2004 season when the Stampede went to the CBA championship.
Livingston was most recently playing in Turkey for the Galatasaray Cafecrown Istanbul where they were seventh out of 16 teams in the country's top division. Last season, Livingston averaged 13.2 ppg and 5.1 rpg for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. His 8.4 apg ranked him second in the league and he was fourth in the league in steals 2.1 spg. He was also selected to the all-CBA first team. In March of last year Livingston signed a 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz.
In his 2003-2004 season with the Stampede, Livingston averaged 12.8 ppg, 4.6 rpg and was second in the league in assists at 9.5 apg and fourth in steals at 2.0. He was selected to the all-CBA second team. During that season he also played four games for the Los Angeles Clippers.
Livingston's other stint with the Stampede came in the shortened 2000-2001 season in which he averaged 14.1 ppg, 3.6 rpg and 7.3 apg.
Livingston played his college basketball at Louisiana State University through the 1996 season. He was drafted by the Houston Rockets in the 2nd round (42 overall) of the 1996 NBA draft. He has played 194 NBA games throughout 9 NBA seasons with his best season coming in 2000 with the Phoenix Suns when he played in 79 games and averaged 4.8 ppg and 2.2 apg. He has played for 8 NBA teams including the Rockets, Hawks, Suns, Warriors, Sonics, Hornets, Clippers and the Jazz.
The Stampede have also announced that Nate Johnson will be placed on the Inactive Reserve, Greg Clausen has been placed on the active roster and that Alpha Bangura has officially had his contract bought out.
