RENO, Nevada, April 1, 2012 - Marcus Banks had 25 points (14-15 FT) and Paul Carter added 21 and five rebounds as the Idaho Stampede (19-29) beat the Reno Bighorns 108-99.
Idaho shot 48.6 percent from the floor and made 31-of-37 free throw attempts in the road win, while out-rebounding the Bighorns 41-36. The Stampede scored 34 points in the first quarter and 32 in the final quarter as they led by as many as 20 and never trailed - Banks scored 14 points in the fourth quarter alone, making 10-of-11 free throws. Derrick Caracter had 15 points and six rebounds, Willie Jenkins scored 14 off the bench, and Seth Tarver notched 13 points and seven rebounds.
Reno (20-27) got back in the game with a 29-14 third quarter, as they shot 68.4 percent in the period, totaling 10 assists and forcing eight Stamped turnovers. Eric Devendorf (9-12 FG) and Antoine Wright (seven rebounds) each had 23 points, while Will Blalock added 12 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds.
Idaho returns home to play its final two home games of the season on April 6 and 7 against the Bakersfield Jam.
