Legends Can't Fool the Energy, Fall 103-98

Frisco, TX April 1st, 2012 - The Texas Legends faced the Iowa Energy for the only time this season in a pivotal match up with playoff implications.

Down by 15 with 11:22 left in the game, the Legends made a strong comeback attempt led by Antonio Daniels who had 10 points and eight assists this afternoon. Booker Woodfox also contributed to the come back in a big way hitting key shots down the stretch. Woodfox finished the game with 12 points and two assists.

The Energy had five players in double digit points led by Mike Efevberha with 22 points. Andrew Drevo had 16 points and 12 rebounds. The third quarter was the turning point for the Energy, who outscored the Legends 28-18. Moses Ehambe led the team with nine points in the 3rd quarter, finishing with 19 in the game.

Texas' big men controlled the boards this afternoon pulling down 54 rebounds to Iowa's 38. Legends center Dan Gadzuric dominated the glass, pulling down a season high 18 rebounds. Gadzuric also had 16 points.

Kelenna Azubuike had 14 points in the game in 14 minutes of action. The Legends had six players produce double digit points this afternoon, Dyer and Gadzuric both had a double-double.

The Legends (24-23) look to even up the season series with the Toros this Wednesday at 7:30pm as they visit the Cedar Park Center in Austin.
