Stampede Re-Acquire Jared Cunningham

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Stampede announced today that the team has re-acquired guard Jared Cunningham. The Stampede held his returning player rights. Following the move, Idaho's roster stands at nine players (not including Utah Jazz assignee Tibor Pleiss). He will be available to play tonight in Texas against the Legends.

Cunningham (6-4, 194, Oregon State) appeared in 40 games (three starts) for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season, averaging 2.6 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 8.9 minutes of action. He was traded by Cleveland to Orlando on Feb. 18. He was waived by the Magic on Feb. 22. Originally selected in the first round (24th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft by Cleveland, the 24-year-old has appeared in 80 NBA career games (three starts) with the Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers and the Cavaliers. He also played with the Utah Jazz entry at the 2015 Utah Jazz Summer League and the 2015 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Cunningham appeared in 11 games (six starts) for the Stampede last season, averaging 20.7 points, 3.2 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 31.6 minutes of action.

The Oakland, Calif., native played three seasons at Oregon State (2009-12), appearing in 36 games (all starts) and averaging 17.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.5 steals in 34.6 minutes during his junior season. ?
