Stampede Fall Short to D-Fenders 114-99

BOISE, Idaho, December 30, 2013 - The Idaho Stampede was defeated by the Los Angeles D-Fenders 114-99 on Monday night in CenturyLink Arena.

Idaho was down by as many as 32 points in the first half before charging back in the second half. Stampede guard Pierre Jackson scored 15 points in the third quarter to help bring the deficit to 17 leading into the fourth. Richard Howell's layup brought the D-Fenders lead down to 10 before Los Angeles pulled away. D-Fender guard Manny Harris scored 12 points in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory.

Pierre Jackson (30 points) led the Stampede in scoring for the ninth time this season. Jackson also added eight assists. Richard Howell recorded his 11th double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Dee Bost added 22 points while Kellen Thornton pitched in with nine points and 12 rebounds off the bench.

The Los Angeles D-Fenders had seven players in double figures, led by Manny Harris (30 points). Jamario Moon (18 points, 13 rebounds) and James Southerland (10 points, 10 rebounds) each posted double-doubles for Los Angeles. Point guard Josh Magette paced the offense with 12 points and nine assists in the winning effort.

The next game for the Idaho Stampede (9-5) will be January 3 when they host Rio Grande Valley. The Los Angeles D-Fenders (5-7) visit the Reno Bighorns on January 2.
