Stampede drop third straight at home

BOISE, Idaho (November 28, 2006) - Newly acquired guard Dijon Thompson had a game-high 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Albuquerque Thunderbirds past the Idaho Stampede 94-86 at Qwest Arena in Boise, ID.

The Thunderbirds had a balanced attack, led by Thompson and four other players with double figure scoring. Marcus Douthit had 19 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, Jamaal Thomas had 16 point, Troy Bell had 13 points and TJ Cummings added 10 points for Albuquerque.

The Stampede shot 33-for-86, or 38 percent, from the field for the game. Randy Livingston paced Idaho with 16 points and a game-high eight assists. Peter Ramos had 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Ronell Taylor pitched in 11 points off the bench.

Led by Wafer, Colorado finished with five players in double-figures. Mike Harris had 21 points and nine rebounds, Elton Brown had 20 points and 14 rebounds, Rick Rickert added 15 points and eight rebounds and Pooh Jeter chipped in 14 points.

The game was a back-and-forth struggle for both teams all night, with 20 lead changes throughout the contest. The Thunderbirds took their biggest lead of 14 points midway through the third quarter and did not relinquish it for the remainder of the game.

Idaho kicks off its first road trip of the season, a six-game trip, on Friday, December 1 against the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Albuquerque continues their road trip in Arkansas and the Rimrockers on Friday, December 1 and Sunday, December 3.
