Stampede Beat up Bighorns

RENO, Nevada, December 23, 2011 - NBA D-League veterans Tony Bobbitt (28 points, 4-5 3FG), Seth Tarver (25 points, 11-13 FG), and Antoine Walker (21 points, 3-7 3FG) led the way as the Idaho Stampede (5-6) beat the Reno Bighorns 122-112 at the Reno Events Center.

Also aiding the win were Mildon Ambres, who recorded his first double-double of the year with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Will Foster, who had nine points, 10 rebounds and four blocks, and David Bailey, who had 12 points and a Stampede individual season-high 13 assists. Idaho shot 56.0 percent from the field and scored 60 points in the paint. The team's 122 points is a season-high and the team's 40 points in the second quarter is the most scored in any quarter so far this season by the Stampede.

Idaho made 16-of-23 shots (69.6 percent) in the second period, including 22 in the paint. Walker, Bobbitt and Tarver each made four field goals, with just Tarver missing one shot in the period.

Reno (4-6) was led by Blake Ahearn, who scored 24 points and dished out nine assists. The Bighorns had foru other scorers in double-figures and the team shot 50.6 percent from the field, 52.0 percent from the three-point line and 75.0 percent from the free throw line.

Idaho plays on December 26 at CenturyLink Arena in Boise against the Bighorns at 7 p.m. (MST).
