
Bighorns Dropped by Stampede

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns dropped a tightly contested game Friday night, losing 122-112 to the Idaho Stampede. Blake Ahearn led the Bighorns with 24 points and nine assists and Terrance Thomas added 19 points and seven rebounds. Tony Bobbit scored 28 points for the Stampede.
The Bighorns took the early lead, hitting tough first quarter shots and leading by as many 13 points. Then the Stampede made a run of their own, taking a one-point lead by halftime. The teams would go back and forth throughout the second half, until Bobbit hit a couple clutch three-pointers down the stretch to seal the game.
Andre Emmett continued his hot streak with 18 points and six assists and Doug Thomas had 15 points and five rebounds for the Bighorns. The teams face off again Monday night in Idaho, with the winning team taking sole possession of the sixth place spot in the Western Conference.
