Idaho Stampede News Release

Boise, Idaho (February 2, 2015) - The Idaho Stampede has teamed up with St. Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI) to present the fourth consecutive Real Men Wear Pink night.

On Friday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 7, the Stampede will wear pink jerseys on the court that will be auctioned off, with the help of Boise's own AuctionFrogs.org. The money raised will go towards the mammography assistance fund at St. Luke's to provide assistance to those who cannot afford it otherwise, saving the lives of countless women, mothers, daughters, sisters and friends. As a state, Idaho ranks last in the Unites States in mammogram screening.

"We hope to emphasize the importance of mammograms and early detection in fighting cancer," Stampede President Steve Brandes said. "The pink jerseys help get the community thinking about what they can do to rally behind the cause."

The auction via AuctionFrogs.org is live now at www.idahostampede.afrogs.org. Fans can bid on the pink jerseys, as well as other items such as team merchandise and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. The team will wear pink jerseys on Feb. 6 against the Los Angeles D-Fenders and on Feb. 7 against the Santa Cruz Warriors at CenturyLink Arena. Fans can also bid on the jerseys in the arena during the two games.

The auction will end on Feb. 7 at 11:30 p.m.
