Shawn Jones Named Co-Performer of the Week

Sioux Falls, SD (Feb. 2, 2015) - The NBA Development League announced today that Sioux Falls Skyforce forward Shawn Jones has been named Co-Performer of the Week with Rio Grande Valley Vipers forward Toure Murry.

In three games last week, all Skyforce wins, Jones averaged 19.0 points and 14.7 rebounds. Included in those games was a dominant 29 point, 20 rebound performance in a 121-111 win over the Delaware 87ers on Tuesday, January 27. Jones' 29 points is the most points scored by a Skyforce player when grabbing 20 or more rebounds since the team began playing in the NBA D-League in the 2006-07 season and the most since Kebu Stewart scored 31 points while grabbing 20 rebounds on March 23, 2000. He also became the first Skyforce player to record 20 rebounds since Jarvis Varnado came down with 20 rebounds on April 6, 2013.

"Shawn has been a force for us offensively and defensively." Head Coach Phil Weber said, "His hard work has paid off and he continues to improve all aspects of his game."

The Skyforce are back in action at the Sanford Pentagon this Friday and Saturday, both games tip-off at 7:00 p.m. Season tickets and 12-ticket flex packs for the 2014-15 season are on sale.
