Stampede Acquires Anderson, Trades Toll to Muskegon

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Sioux Falls Stampede and Muskegon Lumberjacks have agreed to a trade involving Stampede defenseman Jake Toll and Muskegon forward Hunter Anderson.

Anderson, a five-foot-nine-inch forward from Manhattan Beach, California, has appeared in 38 games for the Lumberjacks this season. During the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, Anderson served as an affiliate player for the Des Moines Buccaneers, playing in seven games for the Buccaneers and scoring two goals.

This season, Anderson has totaled 11 goals and 11 assists from 22 points and was 8th in points and goals on the Muskegon roster. Anderson marked a career-high two goals against the Tri-City Storm earlier this season. Against the Herd, he marked two assists during the December 9, 2023 matchup where the Stampede fell to the Lumberjacks, 6-2.

Heading to Muskegon, Jake Toll appeared in 39 games for the Stampede this season. He tallied four goals and six assists as a rookie defenseman. His most recent goal, Toll scored the game-winning goal against the Lincoln Stars on January 20, in Lincoln.
