
Stampede Acquire Jalil Abdul-Bassit

BOISE, Idaho (March 21, 2016) - The Idaho Stampede announced today that the team has acquired guard Jalil Abdul-Bassit from the available player pool. Following the move, Idaho's roster stands at 10 players (not including Utah Jazz assignee Tibor Pleiss).
Abdul-Bassit (6-4, 197, Oregon) started this season with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants before being waived on Jan. 25. The Anchorage, Alaska, native played at Monroe College (2011-12) and North Idaho College (2012-13) before transferring to Oregon (2013-15). He averaged 8.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 35 games (19 starts) during his senior campaign. He ranked fifth in the Pac-12 in three-point field goal percentage (.434) at the end of the 2014-15 season.
