
Squadron Add Jericole Hellems as Hardship Player

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Squadron announced Thursday the addition of Jericole Hellems as a hardship player. Forward Zylan Cheatham has been temporarily removed from the roster due to a family emergency.
Hellems last played with Greek team Promitheas Patras from July-Oct. of 2022 after playing with the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Summer League. The 6'7", 205-pound forward hails from St. Louis, Mo.
As a senior at NC State in 2021-22, Hellems averaged 13.7 points per game, in addition to 4.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals per contest. In his collegiate career, he tallied 10.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.8 steals per game.
The Squadron return to the court on Friday at Rio Grande Valley at 7:30 p.m. and the game can be seen locally on My68 WABM or online at NBAGLeague.com.
Birmingham's next home game is Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. as the Squadron take on Lakeland at Legacy Arena at the BJCC.
