TULSA, OK- The Tulsa Drillers (aka Noodlers) offense could not get out of the starting blocks on Thursday night. Springfield Cardinals (aka Cashew Chickens) starting pitcher Brandon Komar shut down the Drillers offense for nine innings as he tossed a three-hit, complete-game shutout in the 7-0 Tulsa loss at ONEOK Field.

The Drillers played from behind from the start as Springfield took a 2-0 lead on Pedro Pages' first-inning home run.

The Cardinals added three more runs in the third inning, with two being unearned due to a fielding error by Jorbit Vivas.

Tulsa starting pitcher Nick Nastrini completed four innings in his 17th start of the season. The former UCLA Bruin allowed five runs on five hits and two walks, with only three runs being earned. Nastrini struck out three batters and was charged with his third loss.

After Nastrini, the Drillers bullpen did not allow a hit over the next three and two third innings. Braydon Fisher did not allow a hit in two scoreless innings, and Jack Little pitched a perfect seventh inning.

In the ninth, three consecutive singles loaded the bases for the Cardinals before an RBI groundout, a hit batter and a bases-loaded walk brought home three more runs to increase Springfield's lead to 7-0.

The Drillers earned just their fifth baserunner of the night in the ninth inning when Imanol Vargas drew a one-out walk. A strikeout and a groundout ended the game and completed the shutout for Komar.
