
Springfield Slips Past Stampede

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts, December 18, 2010 - Antoine Walker and Luke Jackson each scored a Stampede season-high 27 points, but after coming back from as many down as 17 points, Idaho lost 109-102 to the Springfield Armor in overtime on Saturday night.
Walker had seven assists and made 6-of-12 three-pointers, while Jackson tallied five assists, three steals and made 11-of-15 free throws for the Stampede (2-10). Jackson also scored all seven overtime points for Idaho. Trailing by 17 points in the third quarter, the Stampede finished regulation tied at 95 after being up by as many as seven points with 2:13 left in the fourth. Seth Tarver and Carlos Wheeler (12 points) each grabbed 10 rebounds for Idaho.
Springfield (4-7) had eight players reach double-figures in scoring, including all five starters. Vernon Goodridge and Scottie Reynolds each had 18 points, with Reynolds scoring eight in the extra period.
The Stampede finish their east coast swing tomorrow with a game against the Maine Red Claws at 3 p.m. (MT).
