Springfield Cardinals News Release
Springdale, AR - Riding high with three wins in four games against division leading NW Arkansas, the Cardinals sought to take four of five from the Naturals on Monday night with David Kopp on the mound.
The Cardinals and Naturals would play three scoreless innings before the rains came again washing away the rest of the game. With the postponement, Springfield and NW Arkansas will play a doubleheader at Hammons Field in Springfield at a date to be determined.
Springfield will begin a short three game series with the Arkansas Travelers in Little Rock, Arkansas at Dickey Stephens Ballpark at 7:10pm Tuesday night. The Cardinals will send left hander Nick Additon (5-6) to the mound against left hander Trevor Reckling (1-1) for the Travelers.
The Cardinals will return home on Friday, July 30th for a seven-game homestand against the NW Arkansas Naturals and Arkansas Travelers. As always, Friday Night Fireworks will light up the sky thanks to our friends at AM Pyrotechnics. For ticket information please visit the Hammons Field Ticket Office, online at www.springfieldcardinals.com or call (417) 863-2143.
