Springfield Falcons Volunteering at Friends of the Homeless

Springfield, Mass. - For the third consecutive year, Springfield Falcons players, along with their wives and girlfriends, will spend the evening volunteering at Friends of the Homeless on Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 4 - 5:30 p.m.

The players will deliver personally donated items, such as toiletries and winter clothing, as well as serve dinner and interact with Friends of the Homeless clients.

Friends of the Homeless, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3 organization established over 20 years ago to serve Greater Springfield, operates the largest emergency shelter for adult individuals in Western Massachusetts, provides services aimed at ending homelessness and operates 110 low-income housing units. All Friends of the Homeless shelter and housing is supported by case management aimed at obtaining and maintaining permanent housing.

The Springfield Falcons host the Syracuse Crunch on Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. Ticket packages are on sale now.
