Carruth Reassigned to Indy

Rockford, Ill.- The Chicago Blackhawks announced Wednesday that they have reassigned goalie Mac Carruth from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs to the Indy Fuel of the ECHL.

Carruth, 22, has appeared in two games for the IceHogs this season, posting a 2-0-0-0 record including his first career AHL shutout on Nov. 23 against the Chicago Wolves. The second year netminder shows a 1.00 goals against average and .960 save percentage in his two starts for Rockford.

The Jackson, Wyo. native has appeared in six games with the Fuel this season, showing a 0-3-1-2 record with a 3.11 goals against average and .895 save percentage.

The backstop manned the pipes in seven games for the IceHogs in 2013-14, posting a 2-2-1 record with a 3.36 GAA and .880 SV%. Carruth was drafted by the Blackhawks in the seventh round (#191 overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Next Home Game: Friday, Dec. 26 vs. Iowa Wild. Puck drops at 7 p.m. The IceHogs return home from a six-game swing on the road to take on the Wild at the BMO. Fans 21-and-over can come out early for another Blues Flame Lounge Pre-Game Party, where they can enjoy free appetizers, live music and drink specials. Doors open at 5:15 p.m.
