Justin Humphries was 4-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs as Shreveport walloped the Cats 14-3 Tuesday night at LaGrave Field.

With the win, the Sports took two of three in the series from the Cats. Fort Worth, however, did not lose ground to Coastal Bend, as the Aviators also lost, keeping the Cats lead at three games in the South.

Austin Easley homered in the second inning, Humphries went deep in the fifth and Al Corbeil hit a two-run shot in the eighth inning. Easley also had four hits in the game.

Terence Green hit a leadoff homer in the third inning for the Cats, his fourth of the season. Shawn Williams had two hits in the game to extend his hitting streak to 19 games.

Bert Snow (7-3) earned the victory as he went six innings and allowed two earned runs on seven hits while striking out five. Leo Tyson notched his first save of the season as he pitched the final three innings of the ballgame.

The Cats head to Sioux Falls after a day off on Wednesday. Joel Kirsten pitches for the Cats in the series opener at 7:05 p.m. Thursday night.
