
St. Joe falls again to Saints

ST. PAUL, MN-St. Paul (15-16, 44-35) bested St. Joe (14-17, 40-39) again in St. Paul, 7-2. Anthony Boughner (7-6) worked eight outstanding innings against the 'Snakes as St. Joe fell to 0-9 at Midway Stadium.
After the Saints got a run in the third, St. Joe tied it in the fifth with an unearned run. Jake Whitesides reached on an error and came around to score on Misha Dworken's single, tying the game, 1-1.
St. Paul then took control by answering immediately with three runs in the fifth. Denver Kitch's throwing error led to a pair of unearned runs as St. Paul went up 4-1 and never looked back.
The Saints added a run in the sixth and two in the eighth before the Blacksnakes put up their second run in the ninth.
Jake Whitesides and Wil Quintana each had a pair of hits, with Whitesides adding his league-leading 11th triple.
