Rochester Americans News Release
(Rochester, New York)...The Rochester Americans hockey club, the Rochester Knighthawks lacrosse club and Coldrush 2003 have teamed up to help area families, agencies and businesses as they kick-off the "Shovels for Sharing" campaign this weekend at The Blue Cross Arena.
Fans can bring a new or used shovel to The Blue Cross Arena for Friday's Amerks hockey game or Saturday's Knighthawks lacrosse game and receive a $5.00 discount off any 100 Level or 200 Level premium seat. The shovels will be donated to local families in need, agencies or area businesses who could use an extra shovel to clear over 90 inches of snow that has fallen during the 2002-2003 winter season.
Shovels will be collected near The Blue Cross Arena Box Office on Friday, January 31 as the Amerks host the Houston Aeros, and on Saturday, February 1 as the Knighthawks meet the Albany Attack. Both games begin at 7:35 p.m.
