Sporting Kansas City News Release
Second-place Sporting Kansas City (9-4-3, 30 points) will look to bounce back from Saturday's 2-1 home loss to FC Dallas when they travel west for two challenging road matches this week.
At 9:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Manager Peter Vermes' side will visit LAFC (6-5-5, 23 points) in a marquee showdown at Banc of California Stadium. After facing LAFC, Sporting will venture to the Rocky Mountains to battle the fourth-place Colorado Rapids in another high-stakes Western Conference clash. The game will kick off at 8 p.m. CT with three hours of live programming set to begin at 7:30 p.m. CT on Bally Sports Kansas City Plus, Bally Sports Midwest, BallySports.com and the Bally Sports app. Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish) will transmit local radio calls, followed by The Final Whistle postgame show on 810 WHB.
A new episode of the Sporting KC Show Podcast will debut Tuesday at 7 p.m. CT on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Major League Soccer's Secondary Transfer Window will close on Thursday. This is the final day in which MLS clubs can conduct player trades within MLS and officially register any new players who were previously under contract with teams based outside of MLS and for which an International Transfer Certificate (ITC) is required.
Led by head coach Paulo Nagamura, Sporting Kansas City II (3-9-5, 14 points) will continue their USL Championship campaign on Saturday night with a visit to Central Division leaders Louisville City FC (10-3-3, 33 points) at Lynn Family Stadium. The contest will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT and stream live on ESPN Plus.
