
Sporting Kansas City announces La Gran D 1340 AM as Spanish-language radio partner

Sporting Kansas City announced Friday that the club will continue their partnership with Reyes Media Group to live broadcast Sporting Kansas City matches on La Gran D 1340 AM.
Raul "Padrino" Villegas will handle the play-by-play duties and Enrique Morales will provide the analysis with Leo Simbaqueva reporting from the sidelines.
"We are very excited to be entering another year with the team and bringing theSporting Kansas City games to our listeners in Kansas City," Ed Reyes, Vice President of Reyes Media Group said. "We have enjoyed watching the team evolve and we are excited to see what the 2012 season has to bring."
Reyes Media Group will provide the live broadcast locally on La Gran D, and that broadcast will be available to other radio stations in the surrounding states for use.
Sporting Kansas City's partnership with Reyes Media Group will expand beyond the radio broadcast. The two organizations will continue to partner on numerous Latino-focused events throughout the Kansas City area during 2012. These include the "Latino Outreach Events," where Sporting Kansas City players and coaches interact with Kansas City's various Latino communities and socialize with the area's soccer fans.
Sporting Kansas City will host the New England Revolution at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park in the team's 2012 home opener. A limited number of tickets are still available and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or at the LSP Box Offices.
