
New MLS Matchday App Supports Retina Display for New iPad

NEW YORK (March 16, 2012) - To coincide with the launch of the new iPad, which went on sale today, Major League Soccer has announced an update to its suite of mobile products with the official launch of the MLS MatchDay 2012 App for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, and the MLS Live streaming subscription service.
The MLS MatchDay 2012 App has been rebuilt to provide enhanced functionality for MLS fans. The app has also been updated to take full advantage of the Retina display on the new iPad.
Features new for 2012 include: - Retina optimized graphics - 230+ Live out of market streams with MLS Live subscription - A brand new, simplified design - A revamped Matchcenter, now with starting formations and enhanced Opta match stats - Featured video and news - Join the conversation right from your Club's tweet stream - Support for Multi-Tasking - watch video while you read or chat - Faster loading times for all content - Club Breaking News Alerts - Ability to stream video to AppleTV with AirPlay
In addition, the League has launched MLS Live, an all-new subscription streaming service. MLS Live has also been completely redesigned to provide a sleek, new look and enhanced functionality for 2012. A $59.99 subscription gives fans access to 230+ out of market games on their computer, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Panasonic HDTV, as well as the ability to stream games to Apple TV via AirPlay. One subscription provides access on all devices.
The MLS MatchDay 2012 App is available for free from the App Store on iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, at www.itunes.com/appstore.
