November 30, 2022 - Western Hockey League (WHL) - Spokane Chiefs News Release

Spokane Wash. - Each year the Spokane Chiefs host two School Nights, presented by Shriners Children's Hospital, one in the first half and one in the second half of the season. The first school night of 2022-23 was held on Saturday, November 5th and the Chiefs offered school night tickets at a discounted rate. Schools also had the chance to use these tickets as a fundraising opportunity, incentive, and reward for their students, parent groups, and communities. Together with nearly 50 schools in the Inland Northwest, the Chiefs and Shriners helped raise $5,894 for local schools in the region.

The crowd featured the highest attendance of the season so far, with 8,310 people in the building to watch the Chiefs take on the Prince George Cougars. Of those, 3,060 tickets were sold to administration, staff, and families connected to schools in the Inland Northwest.

In total there were 2 preschools, 36 elementary schools, 8 middle schools, 3 high schools, and 2 colleges represented with Summit School leading the way at 167 tickets. Spokane Public Schools alone had 15 schools and more than 700 tickets for their students and families at the game.

The next school night will take place on Saturday, February 24th against Portland. This game also features a Spokane Jersey Pillow Giveaway for the first 1,000 kids 12 and under courtesy of Shriners. For general tickets click here. For School Night tickets call 509.535.PUCK.
