January 12, 2013 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Windsor Spitfires News Release
(BELLEVILLE, ON) Joseph Cramarossa scored the shootout winner, as the Bulls squeaked out a 4-3 win over the Spitfires on Saturday night at the Yardmen Arena.
Alexander Khokhlachev led Windsor (15-19-1-6) offensively, scoring twice in his second game back with the club.
Goals from Alan Quine and Jake Cardwell in a 23-second span gave the home side a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes.
But the Spitfires got to work in the second; cutting the lead to 2-1 on Brady Vail's 14th of the season at 12:28, before Khokhlachev evened things up with 2:11 to play, finishing off a pretty give-and-go play with Alex Aleardi by beating Charlie Graham (30 saves) with a nifty deke.
Trailing 3-2 in the third period, Khokhlachev grabbed a Slater Koekkoek rebound off the end boards and batted his second of the night past Graham, tying the game at 3-3 during a lengthy 5-on-3.
A wild overtime didn't produce the winner.
Chris Marchese had the only Windsor goal in the shootout, while Tyler Graovac and Joseph Cramarossa had the markers for Belleville (24-12-3-2).
Jaroslav Pavelka was oustanding in goal, making 40 saves.
The Spits are right back at it Sunday as they take on the Generals in Oshawa at 2:05 PM.
