The Spitfires had a powerplay opportunity in the period but could not convert.

In the third period, the Spitfires would see some adversity as the Attack would score 2 goals in 1:36 to take a 3-2 lead. Six minutes later, the Spitfires would respond as Abraham scored his 9th on the year to tie the game at three. We were headed to OT.
In the overtime frame, the Spitfires netminder Costanzo made a fantastic save to keep it tied. The Spitfires fired three shots while the Attack had 5. We were off to a shootout.
In the shootout, Greentree would score first, followed by a Deni Goure goal for the Attack. The next five shooters would miss (Peer and Davis for WSR and Guindon, Burroughs and Waddick for OS). The 4th shooter was Zhugin for the Spitfires and he would go in and make no mistake as George would get a piece of it but not all of it.
