Spitfires Announce Blue/White Game in Amherstburg and Training Camp Dates

The Windsor Spitfires are excited to announce that the team has partnered with Amherstburg Hockey and will play their annual Blue/White game at the town's United Communities Credit Union Complex on Friday, September 2nd, 2011 at 6pm. The Spitfires neigbouring community will have the opportunity to bring the family out and enjoy the Spitfires experience in their own back yard for the first time.

The Spitfires open their annual training camp on Wednesday, August 31st, 2011 at the WFCU Centre. Returning players and new prospects will engage in a three-day camp to determine the Spitfires roster for the 2011-2012 season.

The schedule of events for camp is as follows. Fans are encouraged to enter through Gate 2 of the WFCU Centre to attend the practices and scrimmages, to be hosted in the main bowl:

9:00 a.m. 10:15 a.m.

Practice - Team White Scrimmage - Team Red vs. Team Blue

3:00 p.m. 4:15 p.m.

Practice - Team Blue Scrimmage - Team Red vs. Team White

9:00 a.m. 10:15 a.m.

3:00 p.m. - Inter-Camp Scrimmage (players TBA)

*Please note that rosters for Team Red, White and Blue will be released as the camp commences.

The Windsor Spitfires 2011-2012 training camp will conclude as players from camp will participate in the team's annual Blue-White Scrimmage on Friday, September 2nd, 2011 to be played at United Communities Credit Union Complex in Amherstburg. Scrimmage time is set for 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door for only $8.
