Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Dubas announced this afternoon that the team has acquired forward ANDREW FRITSCH and Owen Sounds 2nd Round pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection in exchange for DANIEL CATENACCI.

"Andrew was a top line player for Owen Sound last season and helped them capture the Ontario Hockey League championship. We feel by adding a player of his skill and championship pedigree to our hockey team it will continue to allow our team to attain the goals we have set for our organization on and off the ice" commented Dubas.

Fritsch, a native of Brantford ONTARIO, registered 28 goals and 35 assists (63 points) along with a +17 rating in 60 regular season games played during 2010-11.

The 6'0, 187-lb forward was later selected in the 6th Round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Phoenix Coyotes.

Fritsch will join over fifty Greyhound hopefuls when Training Camp 2011 opens one week from today - Wednesday, August 31st - at the Essar Centre in Soo, Ontario.
