Washington Spirit News Release
Boyds, Md. - The Washington Spirit has unveiled its new 2020 Navy Blue kit for the 2020 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) Challenge Cup. The Spirit's new kit will serve as the team's home kit for all 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup matches, beginning this Saturday, June 27.
Fans can visit Rockville Soccer to get their 2020 Washington Spirit Home Kit today. In addition to being on sale now, fans can customize their kit to include the name and number of any of the 26 currently rostered players on the Spirit.
The navy blue kit features grey stripes stretching horizontally across the kit from the torso to the shoulders, with a single red stripe going down each side of the jersey, matching with the accompanying red shorts. This kit represents the strides that the fans, the players and the city have made to create a rich history for women's soccer. It was made to honor those that came before us, and those who will come after us. This is the next step for the beautiful game in the DMV.
Displayed proudly across the jersey are the logos of the Washington Spirit's four kit sponsors. Prominently displayed on the front of the jersey is the logo of the Spirit's newest Health and Wellness sponsor, CVS Health. On the sleeve, Sandy Spring, the team's first-ever official banking partner is displayed. Occupying the space at the yoke of the kit will be Progressive's name and branding. Lastly, on the back of the kit beneath player numbers will be the logo of our returning kit sponsor and founding sponsor, the Women and Girls in Soccer (WAGS).
