Meijer Announced as New Front-Of-Jersey Sponsor for Chicago Red Stars

CHICAGO - Meijer, a family-owned retailer that operates more than 248 supercenters and grocery stores throughout the Midwest, has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Chicago Red Stars. As a presenting partner for the team during the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup presented by P&G and Secret, Meijer's logo will be showcased on the front of all players' jerseys as well as other activations.

"The Meijer family and organization has always been committed to enriching the communities in which they live. It's evident in their ongoing community programming, their support of a wide range of caused-based organizations, and their partnerships with local sports teams - from youth to professional," said Red Stars owner Arnim Whisler. "Meijer has been working tirelessly serving the community as an essential business, and now they are taking a stand in supporting the future of women's professional sports. We thank them and are proud to wear their brand."

As part of this partnership, the Meijer brand will also be displayed on signage during the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup and throughout Chicago Red Stars owned channels.

Catch the Red Stars in action when they kick off their tournament with a matchup against the Washington Spirit at 9pm CT on June 27th. The game will be available to stream on CBS All Access.
