Spirit Sweep Weekly Honors

North Shore swept Daktronics Northeast League Players of the Week honors on Monday with excellent performances from second baseman Marcos Agramonte and right-hander John Kelly for the period ending Sunday, July 13.

Agramonte, a player classified as an LS-3 from Athens, Ga., went 12-for-23 (.522) with two doubles, three triples, no homers, five RBIs, an .870 slugging percentage, a .542 on-base percentage and one stolen base. He scored two runs in five games during the week.

Kelly won the pitching award for the third time in seven weeks this year. He pitched 18 innings over two wins, allowing five hits, one unearned run, one walk and struck out 23 batters. Both outings were complete games, a three-hitter at Bangor on July 7 (one unearned run) and a two-hit shutout versus Quebec on July 13.
