
Spirit Suffer 3-0 Loss to 67's

The Saginaw Spirit suffered a 3-0 loss to one of the Eastern Conference's top teams in the Ottawa 67's Friday night at the Rona Centre of Ottawa. The Spirit still lead the OHL Western Conference with 66 points and a 31-10-3-1 record, and will finish out their weekend road swing with a 2:00 PM against the Kingston Frontenacs Sunday afternoon.
Three different 67's accounted for the scoring in the contest. Winger Tyler Toffoli scored from center Ryan Martindale at 10:59 in the first and center Sean Monahan tallied a goal moments later from winger Dalton Smith at 16:59. Center Tyler Graovac notched a goal at the 12:00 mark of the second period from center Ben Dubois and Monahan to round out the games scoring.
Saginaw goalie Mavric Parks notched 17 saves on 20 shots, while Ottawa goalie Petr Mrazek earned the shutout with 26 saves on 26 shots.
