
Spirit Presence Strong at Ontario U-17 Camp

The Hockey Development Centre for Ontario has announced the roster for the 2006 U-17 Evaluation Camp, which takes place at the University of Guelph from June 27 to June 29. Included in the roster are two Saginaw Spirit prospects, Nick Crawford and T.J. Brodie. Both Crawford and Brodie were selected by the Spirit in the recent OHL Priority Selection.
The invited players are separated into four different teams with each team playing three games. Post evaluation, several players will be selected to play for Team Ontario in the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, Yukon between February 25 and March 3, 2007
Spirit Associate Coach Ian Herbers has been chosen to coach one of the four teams. In-addition, Spirit Scouts Matt Rabideau and Jim Parcells have been invited to work with the teams, Rabideau as a General Manager and Parcells as a trainer.
