Flint Generals News Release

Flint, MI - The UAW Region 1-C Members and the Flint Generals of the International Hockey League are banding together to support the Genesee County Muscular Dystrophy Association! MDA is proud to announce the 5th Annual "Spaghetti On Ice" on Monday at Perani Arena & Event Center beginning at 6:00 p.m. All proceeds raised will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association's local clients.

Admission prices are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages 3-12 years old. This special dinner event features the Flint Generals as celebrity servers bringing spaghetti dinners to your table right on the ice...on skates! The players will wear commemorative jerseys that will be auctioned off as part of the festivities. There will be live and silent auctions, raffles and door prizes to benefit the MDA.

Duane Zuckschwerdt, Director of UAW Region 1-C said, "We are thrilled to be able to help such a wonderful organization while having a great time ourselves. It's also exciting to see local sports heroes going all out for the people of our community."

"The Flint Generals are very proud to be involved in this dinner to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association", said Head Coach Peter South. "We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to give back to our community. This is another very important cause to fight the battle and to someday, defeat the neuromuscular diseases that have already taken too many lives."

MDA is accepting prize donations to be used for the silent and live auctions to support additional fundraising efforts. If you wish to donate an item, or for your ticket purchases, please contact the MDA office at (810) 866-9004 or flintdistrict@mdausa.org.
