MUSKEGON - The Muskegon Fury invite the public to join team members for its annual jersey auction Monday, April 14 at Buffalo Wild Wings on Harvey St. near the Lakes Mall. The event will be sponsored by DTE Energy.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Every Woman's Place, a nonprofit organization that provides emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. It also provides transitional housing assistance, counseling, crisis intervention and other services.
"We hope everyone will come out and join us for this event," said Roger Royer, DTE Energy regional relations manager. "It's going to be great fun, for a great cause."
The auction begins at 7 p.m., but the doors will open at 11 a.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings and the team plans to arrive prior to the start time. The Fury's white game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off.
