SWEET LEW: Over his last eight games, Lewis Brinson has hit .485 (16x33) with three home runs and nine RBI. He has reached base safely in 16 straight games. It's the longest active on-base streak for the Space Cowboys and tied for the fourth longest active streak in the Pacific Coast League. Brinson has hit .369 (24x65) with five home runs and 14 RBI throughout the on-base streak. Brinson leads the PCL with a 1.319 OPS in August and is second with a .459 average. On the season, Brinson is seventh in the PCL with a .564 slugging percentage.
MLB REHAB: Houston Astros LHP Blake Taylor, who is currently on the 60-Day Injured List, is set to start an MLB Rehab Assignment with the Space Cowboys on Tuesday. Taylor has been on the Injured List since June 4 with left elbow discomfort. He has spent the entire 2022 season with the Astros, going 1-1 with a 3.94 ERA (7 ER/16.0 IP) through 19 appearances. Taylor has appeared with the Astros in parts of each of the last three seasons.
MAJOR DUB: Prior to Tuesday's game, RHP Shawn Dubin was activated from the 7-Day Injured List. Dubin has been on the Injured List since June 28. Dubin has gone 1-4 with a 6.00 ERA (24 ER/36.0 IP) in 13 games (7 GS) with the Space Cowboys this season. Of Pacific League Pitchers with at least 35 innings, Dubin is second with 13.50 strikeouts per nine innings.
