Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers try for a third straight win as they open a six-game road series against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys at 7:05 p.m. at Constellation Field...OKC closed out its previous series with back-to-back wins following a season-high six straight losses.

Last Game: Michael Busch collected a career-high five hits and five RBI and the OKC Dodgers scored 20 runs, including 10 runs in the eighth inning, during a 20-3 win against the Round Rock Express Sunday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Round Rock took the game's first lead with a solo home run by J.P. Martinez in the first inning before the Dodgers scored 10 straight runs in the series finale between the teams. Jason Martin's two-run homer in the second inning put the Dodgers ahead, 2-1. Busch lined a RBI single in the third inning for a 3-1 advantage. The Dodgers then scored five runs in the fifth inning, including a three-run homer by Busch and two-run double by Devin Mann. OKC added two runs on a single by Jake Amaya in the sixth inning. Round Rock scored a run in both the seventh and eighth innings to trim OKC's lead to 10-3 before the Dodgers responded with 10 runs in the eighth inning. The eighth-inning rally included four hit by pitches, two walks and five hits, including three doubles, as well as a position player pitching for the Express.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Jon Duplantier (4-3) is scheduled to open the series with his seventh start of the season...Duplantier most recently pitched Aug. 10 against Round Rock in OKC, allowing two runs and five hits, including one home run, four walks and six strikeouts over 4.2 innings and did not factor into the decision of OKC's 5-3 loss. After allowing an early two-run homer with two outs in the first inning, Duplantier held the Express scoreless for the remainder of his outing. He set season highs with 4.2 innings, four walks and 90 pitches...Duplantier moved into the starting rotation in mid-June and he is 0-2 in his starts, although the team is 3-3...Right-handed batters are hitting .200, but lefties are hitting .313...Duplantier was selected by the Dodgers from the Giants in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 Draft Dec. 8, 2021 after he had signed with the Giants just four days prior as a minor league free agent...Duplantier has made five relief appearances against Sugar Land this season, but tonight will be his first start against them of the season. He has a 1-1 record and allowed 10 runs (eight earned) and eight hits over 8.2 innings with seven walks and eight strikeouts...Duplantier attended high school in nearby Katy, Texas, located about 27 miles from Sugar Land. He was selected in the third round of the 2016 MLB Draft by Arizona out of Rice University up the road in Houston.

Against the Space Cowboys: 2022: 13-5 2021: 12-12 All-time: 25-17 At SUG: 8-7 The Dodgers and Space Cowboys meet for their fifth and final series this season, but just their second of the season in Sugar Land...The teams last met for a six-game series in OKC July 26-31, with OKC winning the set, 4-2, including two walk-off wins in 10 innings...The Dodgers have now won nine of the last 11 meetings between the division foes this season and have not lost back-to-back games to the Space Cowboys in 2022...OKC went 11-4 against Sugar Land at home with wins in 10 of the last 12 games, including four walk-off wins in the last nine games. In each of the walk-off wins, the Dodgers trailed in the eighth inning or later...Previously in Sugar Land this season, the Dodgers also won a three-game series May 20-22, 2-1...Miguel Vargas leads the Dodgers with 23 hits, 16 RBI and 19 runs scored in 18 games against Sugar Land this season. Pitchers Ryan Pepiot and Carson Fulmer have 4-0 records against Sugar Land. Pepiot has a 1.82 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 29.2 IP, while Fulmer has yet to allow a run in 9.1 IP...The teams split their 2021 season series, 12-12. Both teams went 6-6 on their home fields as Sugar Land played its first season as a Triple-A franchise.

Trending Back Up: Following a season-high six-game losing streak, the Dodgers have won each of their last two games. They own the best record in the PCL at 64-47 and have a 2.5-game lead ahead of second-place El Paso in the East Division standings...The Dodgers are in the midst of a stretch of 24 straight games against East Division foes and are 2-4 so far following their home series against third-place Round Rock that wrapped up Sunday...The Dodgers went 9-2 immediately following the All-Star Break, then dropped seven of the next eight games and have now won back-to-back games for the first time since winning three in a row July 31-Aug. 3.

Running Ahead: The Dodgers scored 20 runs Sunday night for the sixth time in team's Bricktown era (since 1998) and for the first time since a 20-9 win at El Paso May 30, 2021. It was the most runs scored by the team at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark since tying the team record with 24 runs Aug. 3, 2013 against Colorado Springs. The Dodgers' previous season-high mark for runs in a game this season was 19 in a 19-0 victory May 12 at Round Rock...The 10 runs scored by the Dodgers in the eighth inning Sunday was the team's highest scoring inning since they scored 11 runs in the third inning of a 12-11 loss in Sugar Land Aug. 21, 2021. OKC last had a 10-run inning at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark July 1, 2021 in the sixth inning against Salt Lake. The Dodgers have compiled three innings with at least five runs over the last two games. OKC has scored 29 runs in the last two games after mustering a total of 16 runs over the previous six games...The Express were held to three runs for the lowest run total by an OKC opponent since the Dodgers' 13-0 shutout win Aug. 5 in Salt Lake. Prior to Sunday, opponents scored 53 runs over the previous seven games (7.6 rpg), with no fewer than five runs in each of the previous six games.

Buschwacked: Michael Busch went 5-for-6 with a three-run homer, five RBI and scored four runs Sunday night. His five hits set a career high, while his four runs scored tied his career-high mark set earlier this season against Reno May 24. The five RBI were his most in a game with OKC this season, and the four runs were tied for the most by an OKC player this season...His five hits are the most by an OKC player since Cristian Santana had five hits Sept. 24, 2021 at Las Vegas. He became the first OKC player with five hits in a game at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark since Austin Barnes Aug. 19, 2015 against Reno in OKC. The outburst immediately followed an 0-for-11 stretch in his previous three games...Since his first game with the team May 17 after his time with Double-A Tulsa, Busch leads the Dodgers with 80 hits, including 34 extra-base hits and 20 doubles, while ranking second on the team with 14 home runs, 53 RBI and 53 runs scored during the 72-game stretch.

Drew Dat: Drew Avans connected on a two-out single as part of OKC's 10-run eighth inning Sunday and collected a walk in the third inning as he extended his PCL-best on-base streak to 50 games. He finished the game 1-for-5 with a walk, two RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored. He owns the longest active on-base streak in the Minors and the longest on-base streak by an OKC player during the MLBAM era (since 2005). He has reached base in 64 of his last 65 games and his 50-game streak is the longest in the PCL since a 66-game streak by Nashville's Nick Martini in 2018. He is now one game shy of tying the longest on-base streak in the Minors this season, set by Luke Berryhill of Double-A Corpus Christi, and he owns one of just three on-base streaks of at least 50 games in the Minors this season...His 27 stolen bases - a career high - are tied for fifth-most in the PCL and the most stolen bases by an OKC player since Darnell Sweeney who had 32 in 2015...He hit his PCL-leading 10th triple of the season Friday, which tied the OKC team record for triples in a season during the Bricktown era (since 1998), matching Joaquin Arias' 10 triples during the 2006 season.

Rehab Reports: In the fifth game of his Major League Rehab Assignment, starting pitcher Dustin May (1-0) allowed one run and four hits over 5.0 innings with one walk against 10 strikeouts and earned the win. It was the third time this season a Dodgers pitcher recorded 10 strikeouts and was May's first 10-strikeout outing since April 25, 2021 for the Los Angeles Dodgers against San Diego. May faced 20 batters Sunday, throwing 70 pitches (54 strikes). Between the second and fourth innings, May retired 12 of 14 batters with nine strikeouts and no walks...Also on Sunday, Edwin Ríos went 2-for-5 with a double and scored two runs as he extended his hitting streak to 11 games during his Major League Rehab Assignment. During the 11-game streak, he is 15-for-46 (.326) with five doubles. He owns the longest active hitting streak by an OKC player, the longest active streak in the PCL, and his longest hitting streak since a 14-game stretch with OKC July 21-Aug. 20, 2019...Brusdar Graterol appeared in the second game of his Major League Rehab Assignment Sunday, throwing a scoreless sixth inning and retiring all three batters he faced with one strikeout. He threw 11 pitches (eight strikes).

Spotless: Dustin May pitched an immaculate inning in the second inning Sunday, striking out all three batters he faced on nine pitches and all on called third strikes. It was OKC's second immaculate inning of the season, following Caleb Ferguson's immaculate seventh inning May 27 against Reno in OKC...May's immaculate inning was also OKC's third in less than one year after Neftalí Féliz fired an immaculate inning Aug. 29, 2021 against Las Vegas, which was the first by an OKC player since 2016.

Playing All The Hits: The Dodgers finished Sunday's game with 15 hits, reaching the mark for the 10th time this season. It was their most hits in a game since posting a season-high 20 hits July 12 in Tacoma. Ten players finished with one hit, while Michael Busch (5x6) and Edwin Ríos (2x5) had multi-hit games. Ten players scored at least one run and seven notched multi-RBI games...OKC went 9-for-24 with runners in scoring position and had seven extra-base hits Sunday after going 9-for-64 with RISP and collecting 11 extra-base hits in the previous seven games combined. They also went deep twice, matching their home run total from the previous seven games...Leading up to Miguel Vargas' RBI single in the seventh inning Saturday, the Dodgers had been 6-for-the-last-58 with RISP and 2-for-their-last-32. They are 12-for-30 with RISP since then.

Walking Papers: OKC matched its season-high mark with 11 walks Sunday and the offense has tallied 20 walks over the last two games. The Dodgers lead all Triple-A teams with 549 walks this season and the total ranks tied for third overall in the Minors. The team has drawn 125 walks across the 21 games following the All-Star Break for an average of 5.95 per game, including eight games with seven or more walks. The Dodgers are now just 25 walks shy of setting a new team single-season record.

Around the Horn: The Dodgers equaled their season high with four stolen bases Sunday, including two by Ryan Noda...Over his last 10 games, Noda is 14-for-33 (.424) with three doubles, three homers, 13 RBI, nine runs and 10 walks...Jason Martin has hit safely in six straight games and is 8-for-21. Martin ranks second in the league with 84 RBI and 25 homers. He's one of 10 players to reach 25 homers in a season during OKC's Bricktown era (since 1998)...The Dodgers pitching staff leads the league with 132 strikeouts through 12 games this month, adding 12 more Sunday night...The Dodgers have allowed at least one home run in eight straight games, setting a new season high, and opponents have smashed 15 home runs during that span. Eight of the last 11 homers allowed have been with at least one runner on base and nine of the last 13 home runs allowed have been with two outs. Ten of the last 12 runs have allowed have scored via six home runs... OKC has won six of its last eight series openers including three straight on the road.
