Sox walk away from win

Great Falls, MT - " Tonight the Great Falls White Sox were defeated by the Billings Mustangs 5-3 at Centene Stadium. Nick Lemon (0-1) took the loss in relief as he worked to four batters, walking two and hitting two. The win went to Rafael Gonzales (1-0) for the Mustangs as he worked only 3.2 innings out of the bullpen, allowing only one unearned run on five hits.

The Sox scored first in the game as Chris Getz doubled to left-center field scoring Mike Landry from first base. Later in the same inning Getz would come around to score on an RBI groundout by Evan Tartaglia.

Great Falls starter Carlos Torres pitched four fantastic innings, as he only gave up one hit while picking up 6 strike outs.

With the score 2-0 Great Falls headed to the sixth inning, Billings tied the game on an error and RBI base hit. Great Falls would take the lead back on another Getz RBI hit to go up 3-2.

However, in the eighth inning things would come apart. Boone Logan walked Michael DeJesus to start the inning. He was replaced by Nick Lemon who walked two and hit two batters. Billings scored three times without a hit in the eighth inning and went on to win 5-3.

Tomorrow night the Sox will play the final game of this four game series against the Billings Mustangs. The starters for the game are: Paul Moviel (RHP) for Great Falls and Charles O'Neal (LHP) for Billings. Game time is at 7:00pm and can be heard on 560AM-KMON starting at 6:45.
