The Coloraxdo Springs Sky Sox took their second straight from the first place Iowa Cubs, 3-1, at Sec Taylor Stadium in Des Moines. Turk Wendell made his first rehab appearance for the Sox, throwing one perfect inning before giving way to Kip Bouknight. Bouknight allowed no runs and only one hit in his 6 innings of work (5 BB, 4 K) to earn his 1st victory of the season. Andy Tracy hit his Sox leading 13th home run of the season to lead the offense as the team moves within 4 1/2 games of Iowa in the PCL's Central division. The two teams square off again today as Denny Stark (6-2, 4.31) takes the mound for Colorado Springs against Iowa's Sergio Mitre (1-0, 0.90).
