Salem RidgeYaks News Release

SALEM, VA - The Salem Red Sox and Frederick Keys will have their Tuesday night game continued on Wednesday after heavy rains made the field unplayable at Haley Toyota Field on Tuesday. The teams got only one inning into their contest Tuesday night before heavy rains forced a stoppage of play, and play will resume Wednesday with no outs and a 2-0 count on Frederick batter Jomar Reyes in the top of the second inning with the bases empty; the teams will finish the full nine innings in regulation. The second game will begin no earlier than 7:05 p.m., and will be only seven innings in regulation.

Play is set to resume in Game 1 at 4:00 p.m., and the pregame show with Ben Gellman and Suzie Cool begins at 3:45 p.m. on the Red Sox broadcast network.
