The Lynx jumped out to an early lead, scoring a single run in the first inning. Esix Snead reached on a bunt single, stole second and reached third on a errant throw. One batter later Snead came to count on Andy Tracy's sacrifice fly, giving the Lynx a 1-0 lead. Buffalo tied the game in the 3rd with a single unearned run off of Lynx starter Hayden Penn. The game remained tied for the next four innings with both starters keeping opposition hitters at bay. In the 7th the Bisons scored two runs on three hits including Eider Torres' RBI single to grab a 3-1 lead. The Lynx would not get any closer on this night, as the Bisons held on to take the first game of this three game series.
