
South Bay Lakers Acquire Returning Player Rights to Louis King

EL SEGUNDO - The South Bay Lakers have acquired the returning player rights to forward Louis King from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers as part of a three-team trade. In return, South Bay sent its own 2024 first-round draft pick to Rio Grande Valley and sent the returning player rights to Fabian White to the Cleveland Charge.
King (6'7", 205) appeared in 32 NBA G League regular season games (31 starts) with the Delaware Blue Coats during the 2022-23 season, averaging 16.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 30.1 minutes per game. The New Jersey native helped guide the Blue Coats 2023 NBA G League title last season, posting averages of 15.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.3 blocks in three playoff games. King has appeared in 27 career NBA games for Philadelphia (2022-23), Sacramento (2020-22) and Detroit (2019-20), averaging 4.8 points and 1.6 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game.
In 27 games (11 starts) with South Bay last season, White averaged 9.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 19.5 minutes per contest.
