
South Bay Lakers Acquire Returning Player Rights to James Blackmon Jr.

EL SEGUNDO - The South Bay Lakers have acquired the returning player rights to James Blackmon Jr. from the Wisconsin Herd in exchange for the returning player rights to V.J. Beachem, it was announced today by General Manager Nick Mazzella.
In 47 games (20 starts) with Delaware and Wisconsin last season, Blackmon Jr. posted averaged of 14.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 40.6 percent from three-point range. Blackmon Jr. appeared in 19 games (13 starts) for the Herd, where he averaged 16.7 points and 4.4 rebounds while shooting 50.7 percent from the field, 43.5 percent from beyond the arc and 92.7 percent from the free throw line. The former Indiana standout currently plays for VL Pesaro of the Lega Basket Serie A in Italy.
Beachem averaged 8.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 36 games (18 starts) with South Bay last season.
