Nashville Sounds News Release
The Nashville Sounds return home from an eight-day road swing this Thursday ready to commence their only three-game homestand of the season against division-rival New Orleans.
In the first game between the Sounds and Zephyrs on Thursday at 7 p.m., the Sounds will host the immensely popular Thirsty Thursday promotion where fans will be able to purchase $1 draft beverages until the end of the fifth inning. The Sounds will also hold their weekly Harris Teeter VIC card "buy one, get one free" night where fans that come to Greer Stadium will have the opportunity to present their VIC card to get a free ticket when they buy another of equal or greater value at the box office.
Friday's 7 p.m. game will be the Sounds' third Faith Night of the season. The night, sponsored by Chick-Fil-A and Lipscomb, will feature a 5:30 p.m. pre-game concert by Christian recording artist Plus One as well as a Tike Redman figurine giveaway. The figurine of Redman, who played for the Sounds from 2000-03 and is the team's all-time triples leader, will be given to the first 2,000 fans that walk through the gates at Greer Stadium.
In the final game of the homestand beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday night, the first 2,000 fans to enter the ballpark will receive a patriotic-themed Sounds baseball courtesy of First Tennessee. The Sounds will present an extended Independence Day weekend fireworks show following the game.
Tickets may be purchased by calling the Sounds at (615) 242-4371, ordering online at www.nashvillesounds.com, or by visiting the Greer Stadium box office, located at 534 Chestnut Street.
