
Sounds Celebrate Independence Day at Home with Fireworks

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds return home to Greer Stadium this Monday, July 4 to open a three-game homestand against the state-rival Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals affiliate).
The Memphis Redbirds, currently four-games ahead of the Sounds in the division standings, visit Music City for the first time in 2011 for the 7:05 p.m. homestand opener on Independence Day. Fans who stay after the game will be amazed by our special postgame Independence Day Fireworks Celebration, courtesy of Nashville's NEWS 2. Fans can also register to win prizes and experiences involving Sounds manager Don Money for Money Monday. The Sounds will be wearing commemorative Stars & Stripes Hats for the game. Gates open at 6:05 p.m.
Tuesday night's 7:05 p.m. contest is KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets, when fans will be able to bring in a KRAFT Singles package wrapper/proof of purchase to the box office for a Buy One Get One Free ticket offer. Fans can also win $2,500 and get their picture taken with baseball legend Lance Parrish when the Principal Financial Dreams Tour comes to Greer Stadium that night. The four bases of financial security expo will be located in the main concourse during the game with contests and fun for everyone. Gates open at 6:05 p.m.
As part of the family-friendly Kids Eat Free promotion, all kids 12 & under will receive a voucher for one free hot dog, one small bag of chips, and one soft drink with paid admission for Wednesday evening's 7:05 p.m. homestand finale. Gates open at 6:05 p.m.
Following the homestand, Nashville will begin a four-game road trip against the Albuquerque Isotopes (Dodgers affiliate) before the Sounds break for three days for the Triple-A All Star Game on Wednesday, July 13 at Spring Mobile Ballpark in Salt Lake City, Utah. Pitchers Mark DiFelice and Sam Narron will represent the Sounds on the 30-man squad that takes on the International League stars. Following the All-Star break, the Sounds return home to Greer Stadium on Thursday, July 14 to open a four-game homestand with the Isotopes.
